As we are already entering the new semester, we say a warm welcome to our cohort of PhD candidates of the first round of the structured doctoral programme "Music Matters". This group has been selected under the difficult circumstances of COVID-19 and due to mdw's safety concept the first months of this programme will be slightly different as imagined and planned... . Teaching will only start in the next summer term and the official opening event had to be postponed to March 2021. Yet, there is still enough to work on and we are very much looking forward to fruitful discussions, collaborations and exchange of knowledge.
