Liebe Kolleg*innen, die isaScience 2022 krönte das Ende des Sommers und war auch dieses Jahr ein voller Erfolg! Wir bedanken uns bei allen, die dabei waren! Unsere Kollegin Karoline Feyertag schlägt an der Universität Klagenfurt neue berufliche Wege ein. Danke für die schöne gemeinsame Zeit und die großartige Arbeit! Kathrin Heinrich (heinrich@mdw.ac.at) wird die Koordination der isaScience sowie weiterer Projekte der Forschungsförderung übernehmen und wir freuen uns sehr auf die Zusammenarbeit. Mit Freude geben wir die Bewilligung des Projekts „E-LAUTE: E-Linked Annotated Unified Tablature Editions“ (Projektleitung Universität Wien) unter Beteiligung von David Weigl (Institut für musikalische Akustik – Wiener Klangstil) bekannt, das durch das Programm WEAVE des FWF gefördert wird. Wir gratulieren herzlich! Ein herausragendes Projekt ist seit 1.9.2022 am Institut für Musikwissenschaft und Interpretationsforschung beheimatet: GOING VIRAL. Music and Emotions during Pandemics (1679-1919) unter der Leitung von Marie Louise Herzfeld-Schild wird mit einer fünfjährigen Laufzeit durch den European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant gefördert. Viel Erfolg bei der Durchführung! Das von der Forschungsförderung organisierte mdwForum Forschungsdaten findet am 13. Oktober 2022 wieder statt! Eine Einladung sowie nähere Informationen zum Programm folgen demnächst. Nachdem der ursprüngliche Termin für den Workshop „Wissenschaft im Ohr – wie mache ich meinen eigenen Wissenschaftspodcast?“ verschoben wurde, läuft Ende September der Call für Einreichungen an. Außerdem gibt es wieder eine Reihe von Veranstaltungen im aktuellen Kursprogramm des Zentrums für Weiterbildung, die mit Beteiligung der Forschungsförderung durchgeführt werden. Wir freuen uns auf Ihre Anmeldung! Schließlich wollen wir noch einmal an die Förderung von kurzen Auslandsaufenthalten zu Forschungszwecken für Early-stage Researchers an der mdw erinnern. Dear colleagues, isaScience 2022 marked the grand finale of this summer and turned out to be a great success – once again! Our thanks to all participants! Our colleague Karoline Feyertag is headed for new career pathways at the Klagenfurt University. We would like to warmly thank her for the past years of excellent cooperation, and we wish her all the best. Kathrin Heinrich (heinrich@mdw.ac.at) will take over the coordination of isaScience, as well as other projects of the Research Support Office. We are very much looking forward to working with her! We are also glad to inform you that the project „E-LAUTE: E-Linked Annotated Unified Tablature Editions“ (project lead University of Vienna) has been approved. The project is implemented with participation from David Weigl (Department of Music Acoustics – Wiener Klangstil (IWK) and financed within the program WEAVE of FWF. Congratulations! Another outstanding project is hosted by the Department of Musicology and Performance Studies: GOING VIRAL. Music and Emotions during Pandemics (1679-1919), lead by Marie Louise Herzfeld-Schild, started on September 1 2022 and will be implemented in the course of the next 5 years, funded by the European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant. We wish them a lot of success! The mdwForum Research Data, organized by the Research Support Office, will take place again on October 13 2022. The invitation and further information regarding the program will follow soon. Since the original deadline for the workshop „Like Science to your Ears - How do I make my own science podcast?“ was postponed, the new call for submissions opens at the end of September. Furthermore, the current course book of the mdw Human Resources Development - Center for Further Education contains a number of workshops that are organised in collaboration with the Research Support Office. We look forward to your registration! Finally, we would like to remind you of the mdw’s International Mobility for Early-stage Researchers funding short research stays abroad.
