Liebe Kolleg_innen, wir hoffen, das Semester hat gut für Sie begonnen! Gleich zu Beginn dürfen wir eine Gratulation aussprechen: Evelyn Annuß, Professorin für Gender Studies am Institut für Kulturmanagement und Gender Studies (IKM), wurde für die Funktionsperiode 2023-2026 zum Mitglied des FWF-Kuratoriums im Gebiet der Philosophie/Theologie und Kulturwissenschaften gewählt. Herzlichen Glückwunsch! Mit Oktober begrüßen wir Henrike Rost an der mdw, die im Rahmen des PostDoc Fellowships am Institut für Institut für Musikwissenschaft und Interpretationsforschung (IMI) einen Drittmittelantrag stellen wird, sowie die Folkloristin und Ethnomusikologin Viliina Silvonen, die Gastforschende am MMRC ist. Das Forschungsprojekt RAPP „Reflection based Artistic Professional Practice“, gefördert vom Erasmus+ „Strategic Partnerships“, wurde erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Die mdw hat als eine von sieben Partnerinstitutionen ein Lab zum Thema „Transculturality“ unter der Leitung von Johannes Kretz vom ARC im Sommer 2022 in Wien veranstaltet. Nach der erstmaligen Ausschreibung und Verleihung des mdw young research awards möchten wir den involvierten Gutachter_innen von 14 Instituten der mdw sowie den Jurymitgliedern für ihr Engagement und die Unterstützung des Projektes danken! Am 1. März 2024 wird die jährliche Klausur der Wissenschaften (KdW) stattfinden. Hierzu laden wir bereits jetzt alle Forscher_innen der mdw herzlich ein und bitten Sie, den Termin vorzumerken. Für Kurzentschlossene möchten wir nochmals auf den Workshop Open-Access-Publizieren - Warum und wie? hinweisen, der diesen Freitag von 10-13 Uhr in der ub.mdw stattfindet. Dear Colleagues, We hope you had a good start into the new semester. Firstly, we are happy to express our congratulations: Evelyn Annuß, Professor of Gender Studies at the Department for Cultural Management and Gender Studies (IKM), was appointed as a member of the FWF Board in the field of Philosophy / Theology and Cultural Studies for the term 2023-2026. Congratulations! With October, we welcome Henrike Rost to mdw, who will submit a third-party funding proposal as part of the PostDoc Fellowship at the Department of Musicology and Performance Studies (IMI), and folklorist and ethnomusicologist Viliina Silvonen, who will be a visiting scholar at MMRC. The research project RAPP "Reflection based Artistic Professional Practice", funded by the Erasmus+ "Strategic Partnerships", has been successfully completed. As one of seven partner institutions, mdw hosted a Lab on the topic of "Transculturality" under the direction of Johannes Kretz, professor of the Artistic Research Center (ARC), in Vienna in summer 2022. After the first iteration of the mdw young research award, we would like to thank the involved reviewers from 14 institutes of the mdw as well as the jury members for their dedication and support of the project! Next year, the annual Klausur der Wissenschaften (KdW) will take place on March 1. We cordially invite all researchers of the mdw to the event and kindly ask you to save the date in advance. We would also like to highlight this week's workshop Open-Access-Publishing - Why and how? taking place this Friday, 10 AM - 1 PM at ub.mdw. Registration is still possible. Your Research Support Team
