Liebe Kolleg_innen, Wir gratulieren Johannes Kretz, der ab diesem Jahr Mitglied des Vorstands der Society of Artistic Research (SAR) ist. Unter anderem betreibt SAR den Research Catalogue, eine Publikationsplattform für künstlerische Forschung, an der die mdw als institutionelle Partnerin beteiligt ist. Die Förderung von Artistic Research ist der mdw ein Anliegen, etwa durch die Förderschiene des AR-Pilot – Call für Artistic Research-Projekte an der mdw, die die Ausarbeitung von PEEK-Anträgen unterstützt. Die Bewerbung ist aktuell noch bis 21. April möglich! Auch die heuer erstmals stattfindende Spring School beforscht unter anderem mittels Artistic Research die Schnittstelle von Sound und Kunst im öffentlichen Raum. Wir freuen uns, die Forscherin und Künstlerin Åsa Helena Stjerna als Keynote Speakerin begrüßen zu dürfen und laden bereits jetzt herzlich zu ihrer öffentlichen Keynote „Sonic Entanglements“ am 12. Juni um 18:30 in den Bankettsaal ein. Bereits zum zweiten Mal fördert die mdw die Teilnahme am Zertifikatskurs „Data Steward“ der Universität Wien und übernimmt hierfür die Teilnahmegebühr einer an der mdw in der Forschung tätigen Person. Wir freuen uns auf Bewerbungen von Interessierten bis 16.6.2024! Gerne weisen wir erneut auf die Lange Nacht der Forschung 2024 hin, die am 24. Mai am mdw Campus stattfindet. Dear colleagues, Congratulations to Johannes Kretz, who will be serving on the executive board of the Society of Artistic Research (SAR) starting this year. Among other things, SAR provides the Research Catalogue, a collaboration and publishing platform for Artistic Research that the mdw supports as an institutional member. The advancement of Artistic Research is important to the mdw, for example through the AR-Pilot – Call for Artistic Research Projects at the mdw, which supports the preparation of PEEK applications. You can still apply until 21 April! The mdw Spring School, which is taking place for the first time this year, also uses Artistic Research to explore the interface between sound and art in public space. We are delighted to welcome the researcher and artist Åsa Helena Stjerna as keynote speaker and cordially invite you to her public keynote “Sonic Entanglements” on 12 June at 18.30 in the Banquet Hall. Once again this year, the mdw is supporting participation in the University of Vienna’s “Data Steward” certificate course and will cover the participation fee for one person working in research at the mdw. We look forward to receiving applications from those interested in data stewardship at the mdw by 16 June 2024!
