For studies at mdw, in addition to the requirements specified in the curricula, language skills must also be proven, especially for applicants who do not speak German as their first language. However, proof of knowledge of the English language may also be required if this is a language of instruction in the degree program.

The curricula specify the time of proof, either before admission or at the beginning of the third semester at the latest. The Rectorate additionally regulates, in consultation with the study commissions, which language level must be proven and in what way.
