In order to provide support to mdw students with their final thesis, but also to create valid written standards for final thesis at the mdw, directives were drawn up in two working groups of mdw experts (lecturers, artists, researchers) together with the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs and Young Artists’s Promotion and were passed by the Rectorate.
The „Directive of the Rectorate on Artistic Diploma and Master's Degree Submissions“ („Richtlinie des Rektorats zur Künstlerischen Diplom-/Masterarbeit“) is available as a standard reference for students of artistic fields of studies.
For scientific theses the „Directive of the Rectorate on Scientific Theses“ („Richtlinie des Rektorats für wissenschaftliche Arbeiten“) has been issued. In addition, this website lists the institutes’ guidelines for the subject-specific thesis (in German only).
