Verena GRUNDNER

Verena Grundner started her musical education at the age of 6 at the Viennese Music School where she learned the recorder. During her time there she became an award-winner of the “Prima la Musica”-competitions and a member of the recorder ensemble “Homogenius”, gaining initial experience in chamber music.
In addition she studied Social- and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Vienna where she graduated with honors.
Today she dedicates her time to the study of instrumental pedagogy (recorder) with Rahel Stoellger at the Universitiy of Performing Arts Vienna.
Her special interests are Elemental Music Pedagogy (Inclusive Music) and Early Music. At the moment she also studies baroque oboe with Emma Black and plays with “Ensemble Lignea”, an Early Music ensemble dedicated to baroque and early baroque repertoire.
