SUMMARY:SYMPOSIUM | Partimento - Realizing its Potential
DESCRIPTION:Partimento – Realizing its Potential\nInternational Conference\ndownload the program as PDF \nThe conference will be free of charge\, but registration for passive participants is required. \nThe „warm-up sessions“ at the beginning of each day are intended to get all participants in tune with the fundamentals of partimento: singing. As a group we will experience applied counterpoint and singing in dialogue with historical solfeggio\, before these techniques are applied to the participants’ own instruments in the workshops. \n„Harvest time“ will see the „fruits“ of the work on the various partimento tasks in the workshops being reaped and presented. In addition to short presentations\, we would like to encourage interaction between the participants and\, where appropriate\, spontaneous experimentation. \n„Kaleidoscope“ sessions will consist of lightning talks\, held online or in person. The maximum time allowed is 20 minutes including questions. \nLinks will be activeated shortly before the beginning of each livestream: \nLive-Stream 12.11.2024\, 14:00 – 18:45 \nLive-Stream 13.11.2024\, 14:30 – 18:00 \nLive-Stream 14.11.2024\, 14:30 – 18:45 \nLive-Stream 15.11.2024\, 14:30 – 19:00 \nDIENSTAG / TUESDAY\, 12.11.2024\n11:00–11:30 UHR: WILLKOMMEN / WELCOME UND WARM UP\n11:30–12:00 UHR: INTONAZIONE OR PRAEAMBULUM\nAugusta Campagne “Did partimento fall from Heaven?” \n14:00 UHR: ERÖFFNUNG / OPENING\n14:30–15:30 UHR: KEYNOTE LECTURE (Chair: Johannes Weiss)\nRobert Gjerdingen: “Letting go of J.S.
