Welcome!

The Archive is a research-oriented entity of the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna who central mission is to safeguard, provide access to, and study the University’s administrative, artistic, and academic heritage.

It ensures documentation of the mdw’s history and the traditions to which it has played host, thereby functioning as an interface between tradition and the future.

The Archive is a facility whose services can be taken advantage of by interested parties both within and outside the University.
