AUDIO GHOSTS OPEN SP·CE

One part of the AUDIO GHOSTS project invites eight guest artists to engage in individual artistic research, building upon our established models to generate new, tacit knowledge about space-related psychoacoustic phenomena in sound installations. By combining artistic, psychoacoustic, sociological, and technological expertise, this case study explores how auditory illusions can inspire and structure compositional approaches, particularly within non-narrative time structures, to better adapt to the individualized nature of spatial listening. By integrating psychoacoustic principles into compositional strategies, it seeks to generate new forms of tacit knowledge, contributing to both the artistic and scientific understanding of sound installation art.
