Opera Podcast Gschichtn aus Windsor
Around the mdw opera production of “The Merry Wives of Windsor” in March 2024, the students of a 5th grade class at BRG Schottenbastei created a podcast around the question: How is an opera created? For several weeks, the class, accompanied by music educator Angelika Dorfer, studied Otto Nicolai's work, explored backstage during rehearsal visits and attended the premiere live at the Schlosstheater Schönbrunn.
The students did research, conducted interviews with the leading team, singers and technicians and worked on the technical side of recording and editing.
This resulted in two episodes of the opera podcast Gschichtn aus Windsor, which are now available online: Liebe, List und Lachen and Von Buch zur Bühne. This podcast was produced in German.
