Senior Artist (f/m/d)
for Vocals (Popular Music)
Expected starting date: 1st March 2025
Extent of employment: full-time
Contract: permanent employment according to the collective agreement
Salary: According to the Austrian collective agreement, the monthly gross pay is at a minimum € 3.578,80 (14 Times). With previous job-related experience, a starting salary of max. € 4.242,60 gross is possible.
Hiring Requirements:
- A completed domestic or equivalent foreign tertiary education corresponding to the position. Tertiary education may be substituted by equivalent excellent artistic work.
- A distinct artistic profile.
- The ability to teach multiple contemporary popular music genres authentically and in a stylistically appropriate manner.
- Openness regarding different musical styles as well as methods and styles of vocal pedagogy.
- Outstanding pedagogical and didactic skills, which can be verified in a trial class.
Desired Qualifications:
- International performing experience as a vocalist
- Organizational leadership and the willingness and ability to work in a team
- Very good ability to accompany students on piano or guitar during lessons.
- Basic knowledge of music notation software, DAWs, and the use of PA technology.
Taks:
- Teaching and examining as well as supervising students in the central artistic subject, in compulsory and subsidiary subjects, didactics of singing, teaching practice, and ensembles across all relevant study programs.
- Development and implementation of artistic and pedagogical projects.
- Leading and preparing ensembles for live presentations and studio recordings.
- Participation in tasks related to the development and exploration of the arts
- Collaboration on organizational, administrative, and evaluation tasks, as well as participation in mdw committees
