Book Scanner

Outside the entrance to the reading room, there is a book scanner free for use. The largest possible format of materials to be copied is A2 (420 x 594 mm). To save your scans, please bring along your own USB stick.

Photocopiers

There is one photocopier outside the reading room entrance and one located in the open stacks for music on the first floor.

Reader for Microforms

The reading room is equipped with a reading device for microfilms and microfiches held by the ub.mdw. To save your scans, please bring along your own USB stick.

Audio/Visual Media

In the reading room, there are player devices for listening to and viewing AV media held by the library.

Wi-Fi

While inside the ub.mdw, you can connect to the internet via Wi-Fi. Students of all universities can connect via the European network "eduroam". Members of the mdw can use the mdw’s own network. Other guests can use the network “mdw-guest”; login information can be obtained at the information service desk outside the reading room.

VPN

Mdw students and other members of the mdw can use a VPN client to connect to the mdw’s own network in order to access resources licensed by the ub.mdw (databases, E-journals) on their own computers.
