The Research Support Office aims to support all researchers at mdw in their work and to network the diverse agendas of scientific and artistic research within mdw and beyond.

It works in close cooperation with the institutes and research centres of the mdw, the Office of the Dean for Research Programmes and the Rectorate on strategic priorities and the planning of measures in the context of current developments and discourses in the national, European and international research landscape.
As an interface between researchers and funding bodies, the project service provides advice and information on the acquisition of third-party funds.
Its activities include the development of strategic funding instruments and further training programmes, especially for the promotion of early-stage researchers, the coordination of exchange and networking opportunities, as well as the realisation of projects and events on topics such as open access publications, research data management, artistic research, knowledge transfer and science communication.
The Office of Research Support is actively involved in the process of implementing the Human Resource Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R).
