Studied at the Universities in Munich (English and history), singing with Richard Brünner and at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with a degree in music education, instrumental pedagogy (flute / piano) and singing (Hofbauer). Postgradual studies with Margarethe Bence and KS Hilde Zadek. Award of the Federal Ministry of Science and Research in recognition of the special artistic achievements provided at the completion of her studies.
International performances as a lyrical soprano in Germany, Austria, England, Spain, USA, Greece, Holland and Italy with concert and opera repertoire (mainly with works by JS Bach, J. Haydn, F. Mendelssohn - Bartholdy and others) and Mozart roles such as Ilia, Pamina , Cherubino, Susanna, La Contessa); numerous songs; Concerts with contemporary music (premieres). The focus of her professional activities is on the training and support of young singers. Since 1988, she has taught at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts; since 1993 Full professorship for singing at the Department of Church Music for the supervision of students in the Master's degree with a focus on singing. From 1999 - 2002 additionally lecturer for methodology and didactics singing at the Conservatory of the City of Vienna.
Since 2001 regular training of students of the Institute for singing and musical theater at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. 2009 final change to the Department of Vocal Studies and Music Theatre. Lectures on stylistics and performance practice for singers. Masterclasses for song and oratorio interpretation and opera singing. Lectures on the variety of vocal styles, vocal training, voices and repertoire. Jury member at Competizione dell'Opera, Prima la Musica amongst others. From 2010 to 2014 chairmember of the board of education in the Department of Vocal Studies and Music Theatre at the mdw. From 2013 til 2018 member of the senate of the mdw. From October 2014 til March 2016 Deputy Director and from October 2017 til September 2022 Head of the Department of Vocal Studies and Music Theatre.
