Dieter Paier, PianistDieter Paier was born in St. Georgen an der Stiefing in Styria. He studied Musical education and Vocal accompaniment at the Music Academy in Graz and was trained by Otto Niederndorfer and Gerhard Zeller.

During his studies he was granted a teaching position for piano accompaniment at the vocal department in Graz and he coached there in the Lied and Oratorio classes until the end of 1996.

By 1997 he was appointed as Solo-korrepetitor to the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and worked as an assistant in the Lied class of KS Edith Mathis and then from 2007 KS Gabriele Fontana.

Dieter Paier took lessons with Charles Spencer, played in master classes with singers such as Gundula Janowitz, Sena Jurinac, Hilde Zadek, Sona Ghazarian and Thomas Quasthoff. Regular concert engagements as an accompanist in all European countries and recordings for radio, television and CD continuously enrich his musical work.
