Education
- Born and raised in Vienna
- First piano lessons at age five by his father
- Afterwards student of the Music School of the City of Vienna
(Piano, violin, children’s school singing)
- With 15 years, intensive self-taught study of guitar / electric guitar
first contact with improvisation in the area pop and jazz
- After graduation, first studies at the Vienna University of Technology and professional activities in computer science
- With 22 years accepted at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna
- Graduate of the fields of study "instrumental pedagogy" (with Prof. Antoinette Van Zabner) and "keyboard instruments of popular music" (with Prof. Heribert Kohlich)
- 1999 "MA" (master thesis about Glenn Gould)
- Participation in numerous master classes and seminars
Amongst others with Jürgen Uhde (piano), Gary Dial, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Alegre Corea (Jazz), Herbert Wiedemann (Improvisation)
Occupation
- Since 1990 teacher at various music schools in piano (classical, jazz / pop), improvisation, harmony, theory and ear training
- Concerts and CD recordings as a pianist (classical / jazz) in Austria and neighboring countries
- Since 1999 teacher at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna
- Since 2005, improvisation courses at the TOHO Academy Vienna
- Collaboration with Antoinette Van Zabner and the piano duo Wulz - Van Zabner (arrangements and management of several CD recordings, published by the label Gramola)
