Examinations
During their studies at the Department of Vocal Studies and Musical Theatre at the mdw - University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, students are required to pass various examinations and fulfill prerequisite chains for attending courses. These examinations serve, on the one hand, to give students, as part of the pedagogical process, the opportunity to present what they have learned under performance conditions and, on the other hand, to ensure the international standard of education at the Department of Vocal Studies and Musical Theatre . All examinations are held in public and are open to the public as far as the available space in the examination rooms allows.
In addition to fulfilling the respective application requirements, all examinations require timely registration at the StudienCenter at the beginning of the examination semester. Please refer to the StudienCenters homepage for the currently valid deadlines.
