The Austrian mezzo-soprano Hermine Haselböck studied at the MDW with Rita Streich and Hartmut Krones, then with Ingeborg Ruß at the Musikhochschule Detmold (BRD), graduating with an artistic maturity examination in singing and a diploma in vocal pedagogy. With great passion she dedicates herself to song, with pleasure also to the less known song repertoire and female composers. Her two solo CDs "Songs by Zemlinsky" and "Mahler-Lieder" have won awards.

In concert, she has performed almost all the major works in her vocal repertoire, including Bach (Christmas Oratorio, St. Matthew Passion), Beethoven (Missa Solemnis, 9th Symphony), Handel (Messiah), Mahler (Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen, Rückertlieder, Kindertotenlieder, Lied von der Erde, 2nd. und 3. Symphonie), Mozart (Requiem), Mendelssohn (Elias), Verdi (Requiem), Wagner (Wesendoncklieder), Wolf (Italienisches und Spanisches Liederbuch) and Zemlinsky (Maeterlinckgesänge).

She has worked with renowned conductors such as Bertrand de Billy, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Jean-Claude Casadesus, Vladimir Fedosejev, Adam Fischer, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Manfred Honeck, Gustav Kuhn, Fabio Luisi, Kirill Petrenko, Erwin Ortner, Martin Sieghart, Christian Thielemann, Jean-Christophe Spinosi, Franz Welser-Möst and Jaap van Zweden and many renowned orchestras.

Since 2017, she has been teaching as a guest professor of voice at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, and in 2020 she will also be teaching voice at the JJF Conservatory Graz.

In 2021 she was awarded the "venia docendi" in voice at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz.

With the winter semester 2022 Hermine Haselböck-Littasy follows the call as university professor for voice at the mdw.
