Chirhiro Gordon was trained as a concert pianist at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Jürg von Vintschger. In addition, she was particularly influenced by her work under KS Walter Berry, which inspired her to continue working with singers. Her interest and passion further led her to study Lied and Oratorio with Carolyn Hague, Opera Correpetition with Kristin Okerlund at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität Wien and Vocal Accompaniment with Julius Drake at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. She completed all studies with distinction.
Chihiro is an internationally active pianist and accompanist.
Her concert activities as a chamber musician have taken her to the Vienna Musikverein, the Vienna Konzerthaus, La Sala Petit Palau (Barcelona), the Liedhalle in Stuttgart, the Ludwigsburg Schlossfestspiele. She works with singers such as Wolfgang Holzmair, KS. Birgid Steinberger, Werner Güra, Nina Tarandek, Elena Copons, Jörg Schneider, Katharina Bradic and Mathias Hausmann and engaged as a study leader and pianist in various opera and operetta productions and festivals.
As a sought-after accompanist she accompanies master classes at the International Summer Academy Mozarteum University Salzburg, at Allegro Vivo, the European Music Institute Vienna (former Vienna Master Classes) and also the lessons of Thomas Quasthoff, Simon Keenlyside, Bernanda Fink, Angelika Kirchschlager, Helmut Deutsch, Julius Drake, Norman Shetler, Kriztina Laki, Elena Pankratova, Cherly Studer.
