Die Isländische Mezzosopranistin, Arnheiður Eiríksdóttir, wurde in Reykjavík geboren.
2000 begann sie ihr Studium am Reykjavík Musikkonservatorium als Pianistin, nahm neben dem Klavierstudium aber auch Gesangsunterricht. 2007 entschied sie sich für Gesang und absolvierte im Frühling 2012 ihre Diplomprüfung in diesem Fach am Reykjavík Musikkonservatorium unter der Leitung von Hlín Pétursdóttir.
Arnheiður studiert seit Oktober 2012 Gesang an der mdw – Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien bei Sebastian Vittucci.
Die junge Künstlerin trat in Island mehrfach als Chorsolistin in Erscheinung und wirkte bereits in zwei Opernproduktionen des Reykjavíks Musikkonservatoriums in Stücken der Komponistin Þórunn Guðmundsdóttir erfolgreich mit: in Hlyni Kóngsson als „Signý“ (Hauptrolle) und in der Titelrolle der Gilitrutt.
Im Sommer 2014 gestaltete die Sängerin erfolgreich die Rolle des „Cherubino“ in Mozarts Le Nozze di Figaro im Schlosstheater Schönbrunn, Wien und in Münster, Deutschland mit der EinKlang Philharmonie. 2015 sang sie die Baritonrolle des „Gil“ in Il segreto di Susanna von E. Wolf-Ferrari bei der „Langen Nacht der Musiktheaterregie“.

The Icelandic mezzo-soprano Arnheiður Eiríksdóttir was born in Reykjavík.
She began her studies at the Reykjavík Music Conservatory in 2000 as a pianist while also taking voice lessons. In 2007, she decided to pursue Voice, and in the spring of 2012 she passed her diploma exam in this subject at the Reykjavík Music Conservatory under the supervision of Hlín Pétursdóttir.
Arnheiður has studied voice since October 2012 at the MDW—University of Music and Performing Arts with Sebastian Vittucci.
The young artist appeared in Iceland multiple times as choir soloist, as well as successfully playing roles in two opera productions of the Arnheiður Music Conservatory in works by the composer Þórunn Guðmundsdóttir: in Hlyni Kóngsson as "Signý" (main role) and in the title role of Gilitrutt.
In summer of 2014, the singer successfully appeared in the role of "Cherubino" in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro at the Schlosstheater Schönbrunn, Vienna, and in Münster, Germany, with the EinKlang Philharmonie.
