Die französisch-deutsche Sopranistin Caroline Jestaedt (geboren 1991) begann 2009 mit einem Gesangsstudium am Königlichen Konservatorium in Brüssel, das sie 2012 mit dem Bachelor abschloss. Ab September 2012 studierte sie an der Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin im Kurs von Janet Williams. Dort war sie auch in der Liedklasse von Wolfram Riger sowie in der Opernklasse von Julia Varady.
Erste Bühnenerfahrungen machte die Sopranistin mit Solorollen in Produktionen von Die Zauberflöte (W.A. Mozart), Cendrilllon (J. Massenet) und Les Mamelles de Tirésias (F. Poulenc) an der Brüsseler Oper La Monnaie.
Im Mai 2013 gewann sie mit der Pianistin Anastasia Levandovskaia den zweiten Preis im 3. internationalen Liedwettbewerb zu Ehren von Hugo Wolf in Sofia.
Seit Oktober 2014 studiert sie an der mdw – Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien in der Gesangsklasse von Claudia Visca sowie in der Liedklasse von KS Robert Holl.

The French-German soprano Caroline Jestaedt, born in 1991, began her voice studies in 2009 at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, where she completed her Bachelor‘s in 2012. In September 2012, she began studying at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin in a course led by Janet Williams. She was also in the Art Song class of Wolfram Riger, as well as in the Opera class of Julia Varady.
The soprano had her first stage experiences in solo roles in productions of The Magic Flute (W.A. Mozart), Cinderella (J. Massenet), and Les Mamelles de Tirésias (F. Poulenc) at the Brussels Opera La Monnaie.
In May 2013, she won, alongside pianist Anastasia Levandovskaia, second prize in the 3rd international Art Song Competition in honor of Hugo Wolf in Sofia.
She has studied since October 2014 at the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in the Voice class of Claudia Visca, as well as in the Art Song class of KS Robert Holl.
