"Pannonica Project" meets mdw

Gina Schwarz | Porgy & Bess Stage Band

Baroness Pannonica de Königswarter, a fighter, patron, muse, confidante and intimate friend of many musicians is often affectionately called the Jazz Baroness. For her, jazz embodied modernism, tolerance and the opposite of racial mania. She broke with all prevailing social conventions and stood up for the problems of disadvantaged black jazz musicians.

Under the motto Strong Voices, the current Porgy & Bess Stage Band with the Gina Schwarz "Pannonica Project" features guests from various countries in addition to Austrian jazz musicians.
