Darya Volkova

Darya Volkova wurde 1991 in Usbekistan geboren. Im Alter von fünf Jahren begann sie mit ihrem Klavierunterricht bei V. Begalova und studierte zwischen 1998 und 2005 am Musik-Gymnasium Uspenskiy V.A. in der Klasse von Florentieva L.R.

Im Jahre 2002 gewann sie den zweiten Preis beim internationalen Klavierwettbewerb von Kasachstan und im Jahre 2003 den ersten Preis beim nationalen Klavierwettbewerb in Usbekistan. 2003 nahm sie an Meisterklassen  der International Charity Foundation „new Names“ in Moskau und 2004 bei „International Philharmonic of classical Music“ in Taschkent teil und wurde in weiterer Folge eingeladen, die Ausbildung an der Zentralen Musikschule am Staatlichen Konservatorium „P.I. Tschajkowski“ in Moskau fortzusetzen. Dort beendete sie 2010 die Schule mit Diplom und wechselte anschließend an die mdw – Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien, wo sie nun bei Сhristopher Hinterhuber studiert. 2013 gab Darya als Solistin ihr Debut im Wiener Musikverein.

Darya Volkova was born in 1991 in Uzbekistan. At the age of five, she began studying piano with V. Begalova, and between 1998 and 2005 she studied at the Music High School Uspenskiy V.A. in the class of Florentieva L.R.

She won second prize in the Kazakhstan International Piano Competition in the year 2002 and first prize in 2003 at the national Uzbekistan Piano Competition. In 2003, she took part in masterclasses of the International Charity Foundation "new Names" in Moscow and in 2004 at the "International Philharmonic of classical Music" in Tashkent, and in further consequence she was invited to continue her education at the Moscow State Conservatory "P.I. Tchaikovsky". She ended her schooling there in 2010 with a diploma and switched afterwards to the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where she studies now with Christopher Hinterhuber. Darya gave her debut as soloist in the Musikverein Vienna in 2013.
