Trio Shadrin is a vibrant young trio whose members met in Hannover at the University of Music, Drama, and Media, where they received instruction from Prof. Leonid Gorokhov. So Jin Kim (violin) has performed throughout North America, Europe and Asia at venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Vienna Musikverein’s Golden Hall, and the Philharmonie in Berlin. She has also studied under Prof. Krzysztof Wegrzyn, whose assistant she has been since 2014. Aleksey Shadrin (cello) has already been successful at numerous competitions. Having already made his Hamburg Chamber Music Festival debut, he next will debut with the NDR Radiophilharmonie in 2017 under Andrew Manze. Shadrin studied with Prof. Leonid Gorokhov and has recently been admitted to the prestigious Kronberg Academy, where he will study under Frans Helmerson. Jamie Bergin (piano) won the 1st prize, the Audience Prize, and the “Commissioned Work” prize at the European Piano Contest Bremen in 2012 and recently received a scholarship from the chamber music festival “Spannungen” in Heimbach. He has been studying with Prof. Lars Vogt and will become Vogt’s assistant in October 2016.
