Quartetto Indaco was formed at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole in 2007 and has participated in master classes with internationally renowned quartets (Artemis, Brodsky, Prometeo) and musicians (Milan Skampa, Hatto Beyerle, Reiner Schmidt, Krzysztof Chorzelski, Davide Zaltron).
At the moment, Quartetto Indaco is pursuing a master’s degree in chamber music at the University of Music, Drama and Media in Hannover with Oliver Willie (Kuss Quartet), and they have performed at festivals throughout Italy and in European countries including Ireland (Dublin, Galway), Latvia (Riga, Jurmala), Germany (Heidelberg [Heidelberger Frühling], Esslingen [PODIUM Music Festival], Hannover, Bad Pyrmont), Sweden (Stockholm, Vänersborg), and Holland (The Hague, Kerkrade).
The quartet has won several competition prizes internationally, including the Prize of Jeunesses Musicales Germany at the most recent edition of the competition Premio Paolo Borciani.
The quartet has also performed with many illustrious international artists such as Avi Avital, Bruno Canino, Robert Irving, and Valentin Erben.
Alongside the classical canon, Quartetto Indaco also devotes itself to contemporary music, and they have been an ensemble-in-residence at the International highSCORE Festival in Pavia since 2010.
