Formed in 2018 in Vienna, the Artel quartet represents unified diversity through one

musical language. Named after the traditional associations of workers, craftsmen and artisans

working collectively in absolute equality, the quartet reunites four

musicians from widely different backgrounds and aims to promote a cultural

dialogue between East and West. Studying in Vienna in the class of Johannes Meissl, the Artel quartet aims to develop personalities through the deepest traditions of chamber music playing.

The quartet performed in Russia, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Italy, Poland.

Eager to expand artistically, Artel works in close relation with

composers and directors as well as on new performances. The ensemble

had an opportunity to work with musicians such as Ebehard Feltz, Günter

Pichler, the Quatuor Ebène, the Jerusalem Quartet, Isabelle

Charisius, Oliver Wille, Reinhard Latzko, Tim and Michael Vogler, Volker Jacobsen, Are Sandbakken, Avri Levitan. Since September 2022 Artel Quartet has new members - Jiayi Chen (China), Marilies Guschlbauer (Österreich) und Belle Ting (Canada).
