Entrance Examination

3 performance pieces of moderate difficulty from different stylistic eras (playing time:
at least 10 min.).
If the candidate chooses to include an improvisation or composition in a popular style as one of these pieces, this shall count as a piece from the realm of contemporary music.

Final Examination

Examination Programme:

• The candidate must prepare 3 works or individual movements of differing stylistic eras and genres, with chamber music being possible but not obligatory.
• These must include 1 slow movement and 1 fast movement.
• One’s programme should be of ca. 15 minutes’ total duration.

Evaluation Criteria

Under evaluation here are specific practical abilities on one’s instrument as well as appropriate musical interpretation and presentation of one’s pieces. Special consideration is also given to how one’s artistic skills have developed.
