Study with us

Our broad teaching profile in gender studies encompasses all curricular levels and is primarily focused on the performing arts – on music, theater, dance and film.

In the ICGP courses, we convey fundamental analytical perspectives on different gender constructions and their aesthetic articulations. Research approaches from queer and trans studies play just as important a role here as critiques of racism, colonialism and socialization. Particular emphasis is placed on the question of artistic forms and political stagings, as well as on the connection between hierarchization and mechanisms of exclusion.

With an international outlook, we offer selected seminars in English. We warmly invite students from other universities to work with us.
