Studying at the Department of Conducting:

 

Starting in the winter semester of 2025, new curricula will come into effect at the mdw. Two Bachelor’s programs (Orchestral Conducting, Choir Conducting) and three Master’s programs (Orchestral Conducting, Choral Conducting, and Opera Coaching) will be offered. Additionally, extension studies will allow students specializing in Orchestral Conducting to deepen their expertise in Opera Accompaniment and Opera Conducting. Young adults will also have the opportunity to prepare specifically for the admission exam or the Bachelor’s program through a Preparatory Course.

The postgraduate programs are aimed at graduates of a diploma or master’s program who wish to expand and deepen their skills or repertoire through a one-year course of study at the mdw.
