Sebastian Engler works as a research assistant at the Department of Music Sociology at mdw - University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He studied Music Education (main instrument: cello) at mdw (BA in 2018) and Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford (BA in 2021). In both degrees, he took modules in sociology. He is currently an MA student in Philosophy at Central European University in Vienna. In addition, he works occasionally as a teacher, singer, cellist and conductor.

Sebastian's academic interests are in ethics, political philosophy, philosophy of education, aesthetics, and in the intersection of social science and the humanities.
