Vladimir Kharin

Vladimir Kharin is known as a successful pianist and teacher.
His musical education began at the Central Secondary Music School for especially gifted children in Moscow. Vladimir Kharin studied at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory with Evgeny Malinin and Lev Naumov, both representatives of the famous Neuhaus Piano School.
In 1998, the pianist was awarded a scholarship by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), which led him to the Folkwang University of the Arts Essen for further studies with Michael Roll and Boris Bloch. Vladimir Kharin passed both his artistic final examination and the concert examination with distinction.
As a prizewinner of international competitions, Kharin has been invited worldwide to numerous solo and chamber music recitals, as well as concerts with orchestra. He has performed several recitals at the Ruhr Piano Festival.
Vladimir Kharin has recorded several CDs, among others in collaboration with Jonathan Darlington.
The pianist devotes himself with particular dedication and passion to the promotion of young talents.
From 2005 to 2010 he taught at the Folkwang-Hochschule Essen in Germany.
In 2009 Vladimir Kharin took over the direction of a piano class in the Highly Gifted Course and Preparatory Course at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. His students are making a name for themselves as leading prize winners of renowned international competitions such as the International Piano Competition Ettlingen (1st prize), the Aarhus International Piano Competition (Denmark, 2nd prize)), the Concertino Praga (Czech Republic), the Vladimir Krainev Moscow International Piano Competition (Moscow/Russia, 1st prize), the International Television Contest for the first time (Vienna, Germany), the International Piano Competition in Prague (Czech Republic), the International Piano Competition in Prague (Czech Republic), the International Piano Competition in Prague (Czech Republic, 1st prize). Prize), the International Television Contest for Young Musicians "Nutcracker" in Moscow (1st Prize), the Franz Liszt International Competition for Young Pianists in Weimar (Germany), the Steinway Competition in Hamburg (Germany, 1st Prize)), the Smetana International Piano Competition in Pilsen (Czech Republic, 1st Prize) and many others. Kharin's pedagogical work has also been honoured by numerous awards.
Vladimir Kharin is happy to pass on his musical knowledge and pianistic skills to aspiring young artists in the form of master classes (Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia, Spain, Russia, Canada, China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, South Africa).
He is also a sought-after jury member at international competitions, including the Bösendorfer Competition, the Feurich Competition in Vienna and the International Television Contest for Young Musicians "Nutcracker" in Moscow.
