Process of the Admission Examinations

After your Online-registration to the Admission Exams you get a confirmation letter per email from our StudiesCenter with the date of the exam.

After the end-date for registration you get another email of the office of the department with all  details for your examinationsday (exact date, time, place of the exam).

The Admission Examination for the Bachelorstudies consists of two parts - one theoretical part and the audition. The theoretical part mostly takes place on the first day of the exams in the morning and it is not possible to make this test up on another day.

The audition for the Bachelor- and Masterstudies consists of two rounds. In the first round the audition committee select these studyapplicants, who arrive the second round.

If you can't take the exam (illness, prevention etc.), please let us know per email as soon as possible.

On the day of your examination please come at the date to the office of the department for the registration - please take an ID (passport) with you.

At the end of the first day you get the results of the first round and the theoretical test per notice on our board and per email.

About the concluding results and the admission to the studies you get an email from our StudiesCenter. Due to the number of admission exams at the mdw, it may engage some time to get information.

We ask for understanding, that practicing in our exercise-rooms is not possible because of the hugh number of applicants. Before your audition we provide a practicing room for you. If you are looking for a practicing room there are several options for renting rooms with pianos in Vienna.
