Final Programme for the Masterstudies
Piano Performance
Valid from September 2021:
1st Examination Part / internal Exam
Programme:
a) A obligation work (about 5 minutes), which will be announced two week before the exam
b) A classical Sonata (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven)
If a playing time of 30 minutes is not reached with a) and b), the program must be completed with c) one or more works of free choice. The maximum length of the entire program must not exceed 40 minutes.
The programme selection is made by the examination senate and is made two weeks before
of the audit.
2nd Examination Part / public Exam
A Solo-Pianoevening in form of a public concert with a duration of
60 to 70 minutes with works chosen by the candidate.
All works have to be played by heart, except the work composed after 1950.
The programme should be indicated as follows:
- Composer (lifedata)
- Title / Work
- Tonart
- Opuszahl
- Duration of the several works
Piano Vocal Accompaniment
1st Examination Part / internal Exam
A representative and sophisticated programme with "Lieder" from
at least three epochs from at least 30 minutes.
A representative part should be the "deutsche Kunstlied".
At least one "freitonales Lied" from the 20th/21st century and
at least one "Lied" in another language than German from the european
culture.
The songs have to be performed as a Liedduo.
2nd Examination Part / public Exam
"Lieder"-evening in form of a public concert:
The programme should be at least 45 minutes
consists of "Liedern" chosen by the candidate. The programme design
should be a high level concept and well thought-out programme design
reflect this.
The repertoire of both parts should be indicated as follows:
- Composer (lifedata)
- total title or cicle title
- Cicle title
- "Lied"title (Poet) Opuszahl
- Performers

1st Examination Part / internal Exam
Programme:
a) A obligation work - a work from the 20th or 21st century (about 5 minutes) - which will be announced two week before the exam
b) A classical Sonata (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven)
If a playing time of 30 minutes is not reached with a) and b), the program must be completed with c) one or more works of free choice. The maximum length of the entire program must not exceed 40 minutes.

2nd Examination Part / public Exam
A Solo-Pianoevening in form of a public concert with a duration of
60 to 70 minutes with works chosen by the candidate. At least half (min. 30 minutes) of this programme has to consist of works from the 20th or 21st centuries. The entire programme must contain one work after 1990.
All works have to be played by heart, except the work composed after 1950.
The programme should be indicated as follows:

- Tonart
- Opuszahl
- Duration of the several works
