Practice facilities at the Institute for Concert Piano
For students of Department 4 there is the possibility to use practice rooms at the Department. At the moment the rule is that if there are free rooms, three hours of practice time per day are possible within the opening hours.
Booking via online system:
From 7th of June 2022 on, booking of a practice room via mdwOnline Raumkalender is possible for the following students:
Bachelor programme piano performance
Master programme piano performance
postgraduate programme piano performance
Master programme piano and contemporary music
Bachelor programme piano vocal accompaniment
Master programme piano vocal accompaniment
postgraduate course piano vocal accompaniment
preparatory course piano
Please note the following informations when booking online:
Attention to the opening hours - even if you book a room beyond closing time, you have to leave the room 30 minutes prior to closing time.
If the room key is not collected later than 10 minutes after the start of the booked time, the booking will be cancelled and the room will be passed on.
Bookings can be made up to 14 days in advance.
Room allocation at the porter in the FAL:
It is still possible to ask for a free practicing room at the porter in the FAL.
In particular, this applies to students of the Highly Gifted Piano Course and students in the MORE program.
Practicing with 2 Pianos:
For practicing with 2 pianos please contact the office latest 14 days for the desired date.
