ONLINE LEARNING AGREEMENT (OLA)
The desired courses (main & elective subjects) must be recorded at the OLA. It is a mandatory part of the application process at mdw, as some study programs includes multiple main subjects or very cost-intensive electives. Therefore, we can only send an official acceptance after a prior review of the Learning Agreement.
The mdw offers a wide range of study programs. Since not all courses are open to exchange students, the mdw provides specific modules with a selection of courses from which the OLA should be composed. Below, you will find our course offerings for exchange students.
All courses at mdw are conducted in German! For academic subjects, we recommend at least language level B2. For doctoral studies, a C1 level in German or English is required.
Mandatory for Erasmus+ Europe
The EU requires Erasmus students to exchange their OLA via EWP. This is an electronic data exchange between institutions. The data record is ALWAYS initiated by the sending institution (home institution). Therefore, please contact the International Office of your home institution, as we do not know which system your home institution uses for this purpose.
Once you and your coordinator have signed the OLA digitally, it will automatically be transferred to Mobility Online and linked to your application.

GERMAN SKILLS - GERMAN COURSE
All courses at mdw are conducted in German! For academic subjects, we recommend at least language level B2. For doctoral studies, a C1 level in German or English is required.
The mdw offers the German course "Course of Language Competence German" (6 ECTS) during the semester. A place cannot be guaranteed in advance, as students must participate in a placement test (registration required!).
Since participation in the German course cannot be guaranteed, this course should NOT be included in the OLA. If you obtain a place, you can add the course to the "OLA during Mobility" after the semester begins.
ORCHESTra & ENSEMBLE
Orchestra for instrumental studies
Incoming students can ONLY participate in the orchestra course. Please register by email to Anita Maric.
Participation in the "Orchestra-Production" and the "Orchestral Project as offered" is not possible. However, it is possible to be placed on the waiting list (registration for the waiting list by email to Angelika Dorfer.
Ensemble Classes for instrumental studies
(Chamber Music/Early Music/Contemporary Music/Collegium musicum)
Places cannot be guaranteed in advance. Students must participate in the audition at the beginning of the semester. However, even participating in the audition does not guarantee a place in an ensemble!
Ensemble classes therefore CANNOT be included in the OLA. If you obtain a place, you can include the course in the "OLA during Mobility" after the semester begins.
