The mdw - University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna cooperates with various partner institutions worldwide in the following programmes:
- ASEA-Uninet
- Bilateral
- Erasmus+ Europe
- Erasmus+ International (ICM = International Credit Mobility)
- Fulbright
- SEMP
Exchange students can study at the mdw for one or two semesters and are generally exempt from tuition fees and do not have to take an official entrance exam.
A study exchange within the framework of an exchange program is possible in all regular fields of studies offered at the mdw.
NOTE:
Exchanges in chamber music are only possible as ensemble.
INTER-INSTITUTIONAL AGREEMENT
Please contact the International Office of your home institution first and enquire whether there is an existing contract with the mdw.
If there is an existing contract, you can start your application immediately.
If there is no active contract, please send an official cooperation request from your International Office by latest 01.03.2025 (for the academic year 2025/26) to internationaloffice@mdw.ac.at

Only active partner institutions can be selected in the application form.
