EMMA Grant – Erasmus meets Music and Arts
EMMA grants provide financial support for short-term mobility activities by students of the mdw that are not covered by the Erasmus+ programme.
The focus is on mobility during the academic year with an eye to affording students specific international experiences and academically relevant foreign stays for which no scholarship or grant programme would otherwise offer any support.
Support is provided for:
- participation in competitions
- participation in master classes abroad
- career-advancing unpaid performance opportunities (concerts, festivals, and similar)
- other activities requiring travel (auditions, etc.) that can serve to advance one’s artistic career
- Research-related stays (field research, active participation in conferences)
Duration and Amount of Support
Support is provided for mobility activities lasting between 5 (min.) and 14 (max.) days.
Scholarship amounts are tiered by country and awarded by the Vice Rectorate for International Affairs and Art (VR 1). Nominations are made subsequent to project evaluation and subject to the availability of VR 1 funds. Double grants are not possible.
