LONG-TERM MObility OUTGOING

The mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna has long-standing agreements with over 150 partner institutions for student mobility, which allow mdw students to complete a study or research stay at a partner university.

It is possible to study for one to two semesters at a partner university and have the completed courses recognized at mdw after the mobility period. Students who are already working on their master’s thesis have the option to spend one semester abroad as part of a research stay.

The mdw cooperates with various partner institutions in the following programs:

  • Erasmus+
  • Erasmus+ ICM
  • Swiss European Mobility Programme (SEMP)

In addition, bilateral partnership agreements also enable study stays outside of Europe.

A study exchange is generally possible in all regular fields of study offered at mdw. Students of the Max Reinhardt Seminar and the Department of Music and Movement Educaiton/Rhythmics need to consult with the respective institute's administrations in advance.

Important requirements:

  • You are enrolled in a regular program of study at mdw.
  • You have completed the first year of your undergraduate program before beginning the mobility.
  • You have not exceeded the legally prescribed study duration plus one semester
  • You have the necessary foreign language skills for the respective partner university or can acquire them before the start of the mobility.
