ERASMUS+

As part of the Erasmus+ program, study stays of up to a maximum of 12 months per study cycle can be financially supported.

The Erasmus+ mobility grant consists of a base amount and travel cost support.

Base amount (per month):

Group 1 countries: € 520
Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden

Group 2 countries: € 470
Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Malta, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic, Cyprus

Group 3 countries: € 470
Bulgaria, Croatia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Hungary

Travel cost support (one-time):

The travel allowance is calculated based on the distance between the place of origin (Vienna) and the destination (see table below). The exact distance is determined using the EU distance calculator.

There is a higher travel allowance for journeys using environmentally friendly alternatives. For distances under 500 km, sustainable modes of transport must be chosen.

Erasmus+ Top-up for Students with Fewer Opportunities

Who is eligible for the Top-up?

  • Students with disabilities
  • Students with physical or mental health conditions that lead to additional costs during the mobility period.
