Lecture-Performance by Sahib Pashazadeh

Sahib studied at the National Conservatory of Azerbaidshan where he gained an honorary diploma and is a member of the State Philhamonics of Azerbaidshan. The musician regularly performs at international festivals and is a master of Mugham music at his instrument, der short-necked lute Tar.
In the lecture-performance he will introducet the Tar, an instrument played solo and in ensemble performance. The specific sound of the Tar is used in various styles and fits Mugham as well as classical pieces. Sahib Pashazade will also compare the traditional style with the modern way of playing and present some important Mugham pieces.
