About Research

A key area of work of the Department is research in the subjects of folk music and ethnomusicology. Our research interacts with teaching and takes a critical perspective of cultural developments in society. The research activities of the Department are carried out on the one hand by its permanent staff, and on the other hand via research projects established by specialist collaborators and students.
