Transylvanian Klezmer - Workshop with Francesca Ter-Berg
A workshop in traditional Jewish music from Transylvania and chance to learn some Klezmer tunes and find out more about Klezmer music and culture with a Transylvanian focus. Join cellist Francesca Ter-Berg (UK) in this hands on workshop - open to anyone curious, musicians and singers at all levels.

Francesca is a cellist and composer known for her unique style which blends Klezmer, Improvisation and electronic synthesis. She released her debut EP In Eynem in 2021 on the Phantom Limb label (Best Experimental Music on Bandcamp + Quietus Best Releases of 2021) an is one-half of the critically acclaimed string duo Fran & Flora who’s debut album Unfurl (’19) was critically acclaimed, appearing on Woman’s Hour, Cerys Matthews BBC6music show and GWR Cosmo. Their 2nd self-produced album Precious Collection is released in April 2024 on Hidden Notes Records. Francesca writes for film and TV, and and collaborates with Imogen Heap, Tom Skinner, Frank London, Portico Quartet and Ziah Ziah. Commissions include the Turner Contemporary and Margate NOW Festival.
