18th Flute concert
Scholarship holders of the
"Werner Tripp Memorial Fund"
2022-2023

On October 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., a flute concert of the scholarship holders of the "Werner Tripp Memorial Fund" will take place for the 18th time in the Joseph Haydn Hall of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

Under the motto "Flute magic - 21 years Werner Tripp Memorial Fund" the flute students of the Leonard Bernstein Institute for Concert Wind and Percussion Instruments and the Franz Schubert Institute for Wind and Percussion Instruments in Music Education presented an exciting program on a high musical level, performed by scholarship holders of the academic year 2023 and 2024.

For almost forty years Werner Tripp taught at the mdw - University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. After his passing, his widow Karin Tripp established the "Werner Tripp Memorial Fund" to support young flutists at the mdw. Thanks to her tireless efforts and generosity over many years, tuition fees, course fees, travel expenses, the purchase of instruments, etc. are covered by this fund. In the 2022/23 academic year, students of the Leonard Bernstein Institute and the Franz Schubert Institute have again benefited from this noble support.

This concert is an opportunity to commemorate the work of Werner Tripp on the one hand, and to present the achievements of the scholarship holders on the other.
