Gisela Jöbstl
 

Gisela Jöbstl received her musical training at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Adrian Cox (IGP) and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz with Julius Drake (vocal accompaniment). Since then, she has performed extensively internationally as a chamber musician and has won prizes at competitions (International Competition for Lied Art, Stuttgart; Schubert Competition for Lied Duo, Dortmund), as well as making radio recordings.

In her approach to music and piano playing, her experience with improvisation (studies in music and movement pedagogy/rhythmics) and with the Feldenkrais method (training as a Feldenkrais practitioner with Jeremy Krauss) also play a special role.

She has been teaching at the Ludwig van Beethoven Institute at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna since 2017.
