Content:

This course offers insights into the tradition of vini-yoga. Together we will explore numerous āsanas (postures), discuss their functions for the body, benefits and risks and incorporate them into movement sequences using exercise sequences. The breath and controlled breathing with or without breathing techniques play a key role here and act as a reliable control organ for the level of effort and exertion. This course also teaches adaptation options for popular āsanas so that joints that are already under strain (including wrists, knee joints, neck pain) do not have to be put under additional strain.

Body awareness and mindfulness are trained by regularly feeling the effects of yoga practice, the ability to concentrate is improved by practicing with instructions, without pre-practice, by memorizing the sequences and sometimes even practicing independently. In addition, the mind is challenged in a measured way to focus on different stimuli and to maintain concentration for the duration of the meditations.

The aim of this course is to strengthen body awareness, control the breath and get to know the movement possibilities of one's own body in order to be able to take care of the right balance in everyday life as well as before, during and after practicing on the instrument. In addition, we practice centering the mind, which is often naturally erratic, which plays an important role in stress management and self-regulation.
