Mag. Thomas Lamprecht
Thomas Lamprecht is a sports scientist and has been responsible for the implementation of various projects since 2007, which primarily focus on health promotion through exercise and training. Even before completing his studies in 2008, he began coordinating a project for type 2 diabetics at SPORTUNION Austria, for which he was responsible until the end of the project in 2009. This was followed by a number of other projects with a wide variety of content, including workplace health promotion in a medium-sized company and a project to develop verifiable quality criteria for health-oriented training sessions. One of his most recently supervised projects, which aimed to create and implement suitable training units for Muslim migrant women, was awarded first place at the Integration Prize for Sport awards ceremony in November 2014.
In addition to his work as project coordinator, he has been teaching at the SMZ-Ost School of Nursing (subject: ergonomics) since 2012 and has been a lecturer for the course “Strength training for musicians” at the MDW since the summer semester 2014. He previously worked as a trainer at the MDW as part of the “Music & Muscles” project (SS 2008 - WS 2009/10).
In addition to his degree in sports science, he is also a state-certified fitness trainer and state-certified wrestling trainer.
