Optional subject
Teaching in the elective subject (free subject) entitled Concentration Practice includes various methods and techniques. These support students in their everyday practice and learning as well as in concerts, competitions, examinations and academic work (e.g. dissertations).
The subject 'Concentration Practice' is geared towards the very personal needs of the students. The focus is on developing coping strategies for existing anxieties, blocking nervousness, poor self-confidence, lack of concentration, tension and clumsiness.
These coping strategies help students to deal with stressful situations creatively and confidently. Learning or becoming familiar with techniques and discovering personal resources play an important role here. This helps to develop the inherent skills for safe and prudent action, for clearly recognizing and responding to the demands placed on them.
All of this corresponds to today's demands on the personality of musicians and teachers in terms of dynamism and flexibility, independence and the ability to work in a team, as well as body awareness, stage presence and creativity.
