Musical Performance in Virtual Reality
A scientific immersive training project to overcome stage fright
The Virtual Stage Training program allows musicians to gain experience in a safe environment, preparing them for performances in specific situations and learning mental preparation techniques. Through photorealistic VR simulations and augmented acoustic environments, you can enhance your stage presence.
This project is being developed at the Motion-Emotion Lab and invites interested participants to explore the beta version and learn about the latest research progress.
Try VR for Your Musical Performance
- Compare performing in a classroom versus on a virtual concert stage.
- Experience photorealistic concert halls in VR.
- Use VR-based training methods for mental preparation.
VR Training Applications
- Entrance exams at conservatories
- Behind-the-curtain auditions in original venues
- Concert performances in legendary venues (e.g., Vienna Konzerthaus in VR)
Additional Research Aspects
- Room acoustics simulated with Augmented Audio
- Live-streaming of training sessions to enhance stage fright simulation
- Measurement of stress parameters using modern psychophysiological systems
