Marlene Lacherstorfer, born 1982 in Upperaustria, is a Music & Movement Practitioner/Rhythmician and a freelance touring musician as electric and doublebassist for 20 years.
As a lecturer on the Department of Music and Movement on University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (mdw) she works in the fields of musical movement accompaniment & improvisation as well as didactics of inclusive ensemble practice. She has been co-founder as well as musical and artistic director of the Band All Stars Inclusive at the mdw from 2010 to 2016. The main focus of her educational work is connecting fields between music and movement through improvisation as well as diversity in music.
She has performed nearly 2000 concerts in Europe, USA, Russia, Mexico, Peru or Turkey with ensembles such as ALMA, Clueso, Ernst Molden & Willi Resetarits, Meena, Pressyes, Soap & Skin, Sharktank, Trouble Over Tokyo, Velojet, ZOË. In the studio she has worked with artists such as André Heller, Wolfgang Ambros and Papermoon and wrote compositions for ServusTV.
As a Musical and Artistic director she has been working for the Opening Night of Wiener Festwochen in 2019 and as a bandleader for famous german singer/rapper Clueso. These works especially focused her competence in leading big stagebands, performances and productions. Various Works in Musictheatres for both children and adults.
